How will the ride of electric scooters in Bulgaria be regulated?
In the summer of 2019, electric scooters have become a total hit in our country. It is expected that in the spring they will once again take over the streets as a convenient, environmentally friendly and practical way to navigate an urban environment. Until then, new regulations on drones on the road have to come into force. It is now clear also what rules for trotinets are expected to be introduced in our country.
The speed limit will be up to 25 km / h, and helmets will be mandatory only for young people under 18 years of age. With a tripod you will only be allowed to drive on streets where there are no bike lanes if the speed limit is below 50 km / h. Driving on the sidewalks and boulevards will be prohibited.
The age restriction is over 14 years, and up to 16 years young people will only move on the alleys, but not on the streets.
